Wood Rangers 3-2 Under 15s

The Under 15's crashed out of the County Cup in a " game of two halves".
They started well and should have gone ahead after only 2 minutes when a corner was headed on by Neal Rowe, and the ball back in found him in space , but his shot was held by the keeper. 3 minutes later though, the lead was achieved when a clearance by Jack Edwards was controlled by Georgie Hunt, who played in Lewis Francis to run on and finish.
Apart from a couple of attacks by the home side, Bengeo were in control and playing well. Craig Lewis saw a shot pushed round for a corner, and Nat Turner had an effort saved following good interplay with Georgie Hunt. Midway through the half, completely against the run of play, Wood Rangers equalised. Bengeo hit back with chances for Nat Turner after a good run, and Charlie Edwards who hit a free-kick that was grabbed by the keeper at the second attempt. Bengeo had a let off when Dan Skyte unluckily lost possession and the cross found a forward whose shot hit the post and was cleared off the line by Nick Sheffield.
Bengeo fell behind on the half hour when a ball over the top was finished off with a crisp shot, but it was all square again 2 minutes later when another Charlie Edwards free-kick was parried by the keeper, and Georgie Hunt was on hand to tuck the rebound home. This seemed to lift Bengeo again, and a quickly taken free-kick by Neal Rowe to Louis Bowen saw the latter bear down on goal but his shot was well saved down low, and shortly afterwards, Tom Deamer also went close.
The home side started the second half very strongly and looked a different proposition and in the first 15 minutes, keeper Jack Edwards was called upon to make some great saves to keep the match level. However, he was unable to prevent the home side taking the lead in the 56th minute. Bengeo tried to force the match into extra time, and James Roberts saw a shot saved, followed by another one cleared off the line from a corner. In the last minute of the match, a cross fell to Charlie Harris, whose effort went wide, and this was quickly followed by a free-kick by Charlie Edwards which went over.
A disappointing result, but in the second half Tigers didnt play anywhere near their capabilities and paid the price.
