Bengeo Tigers FC

Same opponents as the previous week, but a different venue and competition, as Bengeo Tigers faced Watton Youth for the second time in a week, this time in the quarter final of the League Cup.

Given the previous weeks victory, and the fact that our opponents had only 10 men, the Tigers could be forgiven for going into the game confident of victory. They were, perhaps a little over confident, as Watton held tight, and chances went begging throughout the first half. The deadlock was broken shortly before half time when Aston, clean through on goal hit the back of the net with a powerful and accurate strike as the keeper advanced. Half time arrived with the score 1-0.

Bengeo went further ahead early in the 2nd half when Callum scored, and the game looked all but over shortly after, when Connor made it 3-0. Watton refused to give up though, and pulled a goal back. Aston effectively ended the contest with a sweetly struck free kick, and the game ended shortly after with the score 4-1.

On to the League Cup semi final - well done everybody!
