The Sumatrans suffered their worst defeat ever at the hands of Fairlands Youth Whites in the County Cup third round. The Sumatrans did manage two consolation goals during the rout, one from Andrea Augello having run 50 yards following an inch perfect pass from Robert Heffer, the other from Robert himself after his free kick was deflected beyond the reach of the Fairlands keeper.
The visitors put on an impressive display of fast paced flowing football, which the Sumatrans were only able to match fleetingly.
Despite the final scoreline, both keepers Sam Milne and Sam Rider made a hatful of impressive saves to stop the scoreline from being even worse.
Credit on the day to Fairlands, who we wish well for the next round
Tiger’s man of the match today was Robert Heffer for his sheer energy and never say die attitude.
