Squad: J.Hickman, H.Ives, C.Evans, M.Grundey, B.Grover, J.Vanderweele, M.Fell, O.Skinner, C.Hillier, T.Parkhouse, H.Orton, O.Clinckscales & J.Crosby.

This week we ventured away to King George Vipers in Welwyn Garden City in the First Round of the U11 League Shield.

The boys had worked very hard in training this week following last weeks bad defeat at home and they clearly in the warm up this morning wanted to put things right.

In perfect football conditions we kicked off and straight away got a grip in the game with the midfield and the forwards working really well together and the link up play at times was an absolute joy to watch.

On 9 minutes, after some great work from Owen and Henry Orton, Toren Parkhouse broke through and scored to make it 1-0 to Bengeo Tigers!

After the goal there were chances after chances for us and came close to scoreing again and on 18 minutes, up popped Toren again from a great cross from Max Fell to make it 2-0!

The boys body language told everybody that they wanted more and we came close on 28 minutes when Toren scored again but was flagged off-side and denied his hat-trick!

On 30 minutes, we attacked hard with the ball falling to Owen, he attacked in from the left wing and shot on goal to make it 3-0!

The referee blew for half time and the boys looked very pleased with themselves. We said to them that although we were now going to be kicking slightly up hill and in to the sunlight, carry on with the offensive play and more chances will come.

The second half kicked off and they did listen because on 34 minutes Owen scored from a great cross from Henry Orton to make it 4-0!

Literally within a minute of Owen\'s goal we got another one after Henry Orton surged forward and with a sublime shot made it 5-0!

We were keeping the ball well and letting it do the work for us and King George Vipers did not really pose any real threat. On 40 minutes, after some link up play between Toren, Owen and Henry Orton, Henry Orton burst through to make it 6-0!

The boys just wanted to keep going as they could feel more goals would come and on 43 minutes, Toren went on one of his amazing runs and scored to make it 7-0 and get his hat-trick!

These Tigers were well and truly roaring now and on 47 minutes, Henry Orton hit a screamer over the keeper from the right side to make it 8-0 and get his hat-trick as well!!

There was one more goal which came on the 51st minute from Toren Parkhouse to net his 4th of the game, who linked up with Owen on the left side to make it 9-0!!!

Callum Evans hit a blistering shot from about 25 yards out on 55 minutes and came close but there keeper got down well to it to save it!.

On 58 minutes, we attacked again but lost possesion but not in Owens eyes as he tracked back and tackled superbly to gain the ball and then turned it in to an attack. He shot on goal but it was slightly wide on this occasion.

The whistle blew for full time and every single one of the boys was smileing and it was clear that last weeks result was well and truly out of there system!

Well done boys!!!

Man of the Match - So difficult today as everybody played out of their skin and with Toren netting 4 goals, Henry Orton getting a hat-trick and a captain\'s display from Owen, it was so hard. However today there was one player that was so strong in the defence and created chances with his clearances he was just awesome - Well Done Joe Crosby, simply supurb today in defence! Keep Up The Good Work Joe!!
